Compounding is the process of preparing a customized medication to meet a patient's individual needs.
A compounding pharmacy uses state-of-the art equipment, mixing high grade chemicals and advanced techniques to compound and ensure the quality of its products. Other pharmacies do not have the time, equipment, chemicals, or education to appropriately prepare your customized medications.
Yes, compound medication requires a prescription just like regular pharmacy medications.
Yes. Every insurance plan is different though, so before we fill your prescription we will work with your insurance to get your medication covered. If for any reason your plan does not cover your prescription, we do offer competitive self pay prices for your convenience.
Your health care provider can either call in the prescription or fax it to the pharmacy. We can then ship your medication or you can drop by and pick it up.
Many prescriptions can be filled the same day. Some medications take more time to compound and if we have to contact your health care provider or it could delay processing your prescription by a couple of days. We will notify you when we have completed the process and have your medication ready.
Please print and sign our automatic refill program form to get started. By doing this, you will authorize the pharmacy to refill your prescription automatically, at the appropriate time, and to bill your insurance. Your prescriptions will be mailed to you at no additional charge. You may cancel automatic refills at any time by contacting the pharmacy at (281)453-7250.
